One way is to search the UlrichsWeb database, which you can find in our A-Z databases list. (Only members of the Calvin community have remote or off-campus access to our databases). Once you are in UlrichsWeb, you can search for your journal title. If it's peer-reviewed, it will have a little icon of a referee's shirt in the column to the left of the title.
There are restrooms (bathrooms) on every floor. The 2nd floor has a unisex restroom and men's and women's restrooms. 3rd floor has only a women's restroom. 4th floor has a men's restroom and a unisex/single user restroom. On 5th floor there are both men's and women's restrooms.
The 2nd floor of the library is open to students only on Sunday afternoons from 1:00pm to 7:00pm as a "living room"/study space. We do not publish the hours because only the second floor is open, and there are no services available.
Librarians staff the Research Desk in the afternoons from 1:00pm to 4:30pm on Monday through Thursday, and from 1:00pm to 3:00pm on Fridays. At other times, our Library Research Consultants are available to help with your research process. For more information, see our desk schedule.
Peet's Coffee is ordinarily open Monday through Thursday from 7:30 a.m. to 11:00 p.m., Friday 7:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., Saturday 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and closed on Sunday. These hours are subject to change, however.
Our policies state that Calvin students may check books out for two weeks at a time (and can renew them to keep them longer). Graduate and seminary students may keep books for six weeks, PhD students for six months, faculty and staff for six months, and alumni and guests for two weeks.
